This course is designed to provide utility operating personnel, power plant designers, and other interested parties with a basic understanding of the concepts, hardware and functions of fire protection as they apply to the electric power generating industry. This understanding is the starting point for providing and maintaining appropriate fire protection for power plants.

The three-day course is followed by an optional fourth-day session devoted to fire protection of nuclear power plants.

Instructors

This experience provides us with a valuable understanding of fire hazards and current hazard control techniques available to the electric power generating industry.
